I have an amp with RCA jacks, and I have to send the RCA plugs to the subwoofer, however the subwoofer only has speakerwire connections? the + and the -?
It sounds like your amp is expecting a powered subwoofer, or a separate sub amp. Read the manual for your amp to make sure. If that is the case, you will need a separate amp if you want to use that subwoofer in your existing setup.

A subwoofer is supposed to have speaker wire connections, because a subwoofer is a speaker. Your amplifier should also have speaker outputs; I’ve never seen a car amplifier that used RCA’s for speaker connections. Check your amp’s owner’s manual for the speaker terminals.
