Why does my subwoofer hit when i turn off the power to my car?

When i turn the electric off to my car the the subwoofer hits. Any ideas why this is happening. This just started happening a few weeks ago.

Make sure your turning down the volume before you turn the car off, or better yet, turn the head unit off before you turn the car off. It is a turn off pop, but could be your amp discharging during the car shut off. Not good for the subs…Good luck

a wire may be loose or touching another wire. check all the wires and make sure they are in good.

Like a pop? Sometimes its called turn off pop. Could be a bad ground, a problem with the amp or head unit, etc.

if it also happens when you turn the car on you may want to make sure the "remote" wire to the head unit is hooked up to the amp to delay the on and off of the amp.
