What is the best subwoofer enclosure design software?

I have two Ma Audio HK12X2 subwoofers and I want to make a vented box that is the perfect size. Whats are some good programs that help you design a sub box, I doesnt matter if they are not free just let me know of all the software you know. Also if you know the driver parameters for these subwoofers can you list them here.

How do i build a Subwoofer, NOT an enclosure.?

I have a magnet from a 12 inch subwoofer, but i do not have the speaker itself. I know how to build an enclosure already, but i need to know how to build the actual speaker itself. I was going to try to put a 10 inch speaker on the 12 magnet if possible. Any ideas?

Well if you can get a basket (where the magnet would attach) to house all of the components then its possible. I have thought about it myself. Check out http://youtube.com/watch?v=izQHjVWfzDQ
They show the basics of building a speaker. Its basically a voice coil (bunch of copper wire wrapped around a paper tube) attached to a cone.

Particuarly a Kicker 12" CVR12 into a 12" enclosure/box (if that makes any difference)

I’m looking for the dimensions of a subwoofer box for Ford Explorer Sport Trac’s because I have built custom boxes and want to build these instead of spending an ass load for one box.

I would need to know the year. It has changed a bit recently. Go to links for custom trucks with the year you are looking at.

Of course it is much less expensive to build your own, providing you know how to build speaker enclosures.

im going to add polyfil into my subwoofer enclosure its a dual 12" box and it has 1.0cu ft. per chamber im going to be putting about 1-1.5 lbs of polyfil into it

where in the box do i have to add it top bottom sides ect. do i staple it down or what?

Just loosely fill it in the enclosure.

You should add about 0.5 lbs of polyfill per cubic foot. So each chamber should have about 0.5 cubic foot.

Does anyone know where i can get plans for making a home- made box for a 10" subwoofer. My subwoofer manufacturer recommends 0.75ft cubed sealed and 1.45ft cubed vented.

Any recomendations?

vent it ! it will sound much louder and more crisp and if your making it your self if your putting a BAMF sub in it it will kill your box fast lol

Is it safe to mount an amplifier on top of a subwoofer enclosure?

I have a 8" Rockford Fosgate PUNCH STAGE 1 P18S4 subwoofer- It needs .65 cubic feet of airspace to function correctly when in a vented box. My box has .7 cubic feet of airspace, it’s originally a sealed box but i want to put a port in it, but i have no idea how long the port should be or how large the diameter of the tube should be–Please Help!

I got the following info from the rockfordfosgate.com website:

Rec. Vented Enclosure 0.65 cu. ft. (18.41 liters)
Tuning Frequency (vented) 43 Hz
Port: (1) 2" diam. x 6" long
