JL audio subwoofer setup?

i recently purchased a JL audio 250/1 amp and i hooked everything up and the speakers aren't putting out like they are suppose to,they just vibrate a little. And suggestions of what the problem my be?

one sub might be wired one way + and – and the other sub might be the other way – and + check the wire going to the subs. and the ohms might not be matching up right

   Make sure your gain and LPF are set correctly. I'm assuming this is powering a sub, so have your LPF set to around 80hz.
