the w7 is soo old and these new subs like ur kicker l5s are just now stepping up, and just now passing its level! i dnt have a vid… but i own a ts-w5102 spl that will own any best buy or american sold kicker l5 or any other sub u can go sum were and buy. my sub is competition. w7 was the mastermind behind subs like these. w7s still win allooott of competitions today. and there atleast 8 years old.

no jl isnt the best… but compared to kicker and rockford fosgate it is definetly not comparable… but it all depends what your going for as well… for spl i would say the 18″ re xxx subwoofers… those are true beasts… all im saying if you want great sound quality and have the money go with jl… but if you have a huge pick up truck or van or suv go with 2 of the 18″ re’s…

No, JL isn’t the best out there, sure they sound good, but it is basically a Kicker or a Rockford with the JL name on it. Sure, they each have their differences, but they are all basically the same. JL is not worth the extra money, and they are certainly not the best. I am not saying they are bad, they just aren’t the best.
