Is Jl Audio 10W7-3 subwoofer in a sealed enclosure SPL or SQ?

Witch one hits harder, how about in ported box???

"w7 is more an spl sub than sq" -Very untrue.

SQ – Sealed
SPL – Ported

Either way build it to JL’s specs for it to perform like it was made for.

   w7 is more an spl sub than sq whatever box its in. EDIT: the w7 subs are made more for spl, just like the l5 or l7. u get better sq on a w7 than u would the l5/l7, but u get nowhere near the sq of a sub made for sq. put a w7 against a polk audio sr104 or sr124 or a boston acoustics g5 and the polk or boston will kill the w7 in sq. not to mention u can get 2 sr or g5 subs for the price of 1 w7 and would beat the spl of the 1 w7 as well
